CHARACTERISTICS

• While the aerodynamic was paramount for the development of the Tarmac, and for the development of all our racing bikes, the weight was the other critical component in this journey to the optimal racing bike. Previously, "aerodynamic bikes" were always compromised in the weight section: the more aerodynamic resistance was reduced, the more weight was gained. With the new Tarmac, our design philosophy was to keep it inside or below the ICU weight limit, without sacrificing the aerodynamics. And with the help of the FreeFoil Shape library, tools like the isotopic analysis of finite elements (FEA) and some magic of the best engineers in the sector, we have obtained a painting that weighs only 920 grams, without giving up a gram of aerodynamics, rigidity or driving quality.
• Continuing our interest in developing the perfect competition bike, we use our Rider-First EngineeredTM philosophy to ensure that the new Tarmac is the most balanced and with better behavior, indistinctly of the size. With the valuable experience of our team bikers in the World Tour, SD-Worx, Quick-Step, Total Energies and Bora-hansgrohe races, we made modifications to the Tarmac based on its thousands of miles on the road. We balance the behavior between the front and rear train, so that even the longest days on the seat remain pleasant, without renouncing its famous driving or the winning speed of the Tarmac.
• Based on the knowledge of the Venge, the new Tarmac uses simple integration to create a power-handling set with which it is easy to live. We have improved cable guidance for any configuration: mechanical transmission, traditional powers, round handlebars, etc., keeping their aerodynamic attributes. These features also make it easier to work and travel with the new Tarmac. It's all advantages.
