EJE FLOTANTE
The floating shafts may look similar to other axes, but in reality they offer a clear performance advantage due to their unique ability to adapt to the exact width of the mounting surface of the fork wheel with precision to the spacing of the front buffer flange, thus creating a perfect alignment of the chassis and eliminating unwanted friction between the top and bottom bars of the fork. The floating shafts provide a much smoother suspension movement throughout the fork, significantly improving the sensitivity and overall driving quality.
The new 36 and 38 are equipped with a new fast-closing floating axle system driven by lever, patent slope, which combines the advantages of a floating axle with the ease of fast-closing without tools. With this system, the spacing is blocked by a floating sleeve, which allows to disassemble and re-mount repeatedly the front wheel while maintaining a perfect alignment of the fork. The positioning of the floating sleeve comes preset from factory, so if you are not sure how the floating axle system works or just don't want to bother you about it, you can install the front wheel and follow with your trip.
Optionally, the new Kabolt-X is available, a light floating shaft exclusively for the new 36 and 38 that not only saves grams but also increases the torsional stiffness thanks to its sleeveless and one-sided screw design. The chassis alignment should be adjusted every time it is disassembled and the front wheel is re-assembled, both in the Kabolt-X floating axis and in the 40, but the final result is the same: perfect alignment and perfect performance.
DERIVATION OF BOTELLA
When a fork is compressed, the air volume within the bottles decreases, increasing air pressure. The more the fork is compressed, the more pressure increases. This effect may have the undesired consequence of preventing the full route from reaching. Our channels in the bottles help relieve this problem by drastically increasing the volume of air inside the bottles and thus reducing the amount of additional unintentional pressure ramp.
Another advantage of these channels is that the oil bath of the bottle circulates to the top of the bottles, continuously lubricating the foam rings and the caps as the fork is compressed and extends along its route.
PURGERS
Our bottle purgators allow equal atmospheric pressure by pressing a button. The accumulation of pressure in the bottles dramatically decreases the performance of the fork, preventing the full route from reaching and diminishing the sensitivity and response capacity in small potholes.
MÁS RÍGIDA
ARCO DE LA BOTELLA
The rigid-weight ratio is the definitive metric for bicycle design. Engineers spend countless hours studying each gram of material in an effort to optimize this critical relationship. Our new design at the bottom of the bottle makes every effort to reduce each gram, without compromising the rigidity or resistance necessary for modern enduro and gravity driving.
Modern frame designs and geometry trends require modern suspension design solutions. The design of the arch of the new 36, 38 and 40 is designed to be perfectly combined with modern enduro and descent bikes. The profiles of the steering tubes are growing, and the forks are getting shorter. Our new shape of arc takes into account this need when you stand forward to provide a wide free space in the complete compression direction tube. The most advanced computer modeling techniques have helped us create an organic form of the bottom of the bottle that optimizes stiffness with the minimum amount of material.
MOST PERSONALIZATION
GRIP2
Our GRIP2 damper is the benchmark for unmatched driving quality and ultra-precise fit. GRIP2 includes our patented Variable Valve Control (VVC) technology that allows an external fine adjustment of the suspension performance. GRIP2 gets with the turn of a command which normally requires the long and complicated task of disassembling and re-assembling the fork completely.
FLOAT EVOL
EVOL technology increases the volume of the negative air spring, optimizing sensitivity in small potholes. The EVOL spring linear curve provides greater smoothness at the top, extra mid-run support and a more adjustable progression at the bottom.
The advantages of EVOL are reinforced by our new lower and purging channels, which work to reduce the air pressure captured in the bottles, allowing the EVOL pneumatic spring to operate freely without involuntary interference.
