WHAT A WINTER JACKET SHOULD LOOK LIKE

Cyclingnews.com consider that this jacket "sets a new reference point in terms of performance that can reach a winter cycling jacket," and, in fact, this jacket reflects exactly our idea of what should be a perfect winter jacket.

We believe that we have improved our concept of jacket with the Alpha Doppio RoS Jacket, which belongs to this new generation of garments. Even the best tissues available today, which offer a good level of breathability, cannot absorb the sweat generated during a high-intensity journey. For this reason we have developed a double layer structure that allows to open the outer layer of protection against the wind while keeping the insulating layer closed to, thus, allow the flow of air inside the jacket to evacuate the moisture avoiding direct contact with the skin.
In a long climb we will completely open the outer layer to allow moisture to be evacuated and when we begin the descent we will close the outer layer to keep our body completely dry. It works so well that sometimes it seems magical. For this new generation, we have used a more soft and warm Polartec® Alpha Direct insulation layer. Below we have made small changes in the openings: neck, waist and, above all, wrists. Your high neck is designed to move with you: whether you are standing or in aerodynamic position to attack your colleagues and become the leader of the month of January.

For the waist we have created an elastic layer with a silicone band that remains flat and completely seals the garment against the wind without wrinkling or climbing. We have updated the double layer opening of the wrist with an inner layer under the glove that perfectly seals the wrist and an outer layer that extends over the glove so that the rain slips through the outside of the glove and does not penetrate inside.

We also wanted this jacket to deliver good performance on rainy days, so we used GORE-TEX INFINIUMTM fabric WINDSTOPPER® together with waterproof bands in the most critical seams around the shoulders. Other seams are out of the direct reach of the water, so the water treatment of the tissue is sufficient to prevent the entry of most of the moisture. We call it "esentially impermeable": our subjective idea of balance between water protection, breathability and comfort. This does not mean that you will never penetrate a drop of water, but the reality is that when we make long journeys with real rain, we remain completely dry. All these features make it the favorite jacket of both our staff and most of our ambassadors, as we have created the most versatile high performance jacket to roll in cold weather.
